On 22nd of February 2019, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted a visit by Mr Vytautas Umbrasas, Vice Minister of National Defence of Ministry of National Defence of Republic of Lithuania.

After a welcome address by Major General Andis Dilāns, Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, the visit continued with an office call. Mr Umbrasas then met with the Lithuanian staff and students. 

Afterwards, Mr Umbrasas also participated in the BALTDEFCOL 20th Anniversary History Book Launch as a panelist discussing the role and impact of the Baltic Defence College and its graduates during its 20 years of existence as seen from the Lithuanian perspective.
