Visit by UK Defence Academy delegation

 

On Thursday 3 February the Advanced Command and Staff Course from the UK Defence Academy visited the Baltic Defence College. The delegation included Senior Visitor Col Andrew Carwardine, Lead Planner Cdr David Barker RN, 4 additional Directing Staff members, 40 students, among them students from countries such as Oman, Algeria, China, Saudi Arabia, South Africa, Quatar and Italy. 

 

BG Meelis Kiili, the Commandant of the BALTDEFCOL, introduced the College in general and LtCol (ret.) Ron LaGrone, the Course Director of the Joint Command and General Studies Course, gave an overview of the Joint course. In addition to new knowledge on the BALTDEFCOL, the UK delegation also had a chance to listen a briefing on the Estonian National Defence College by the Commandant of the ENDC, Col Aarne Ermus.
