Visit by Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Defence

On Friday, 4th September 2015, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted a visit by Parliamentary State Secretary of the German Federal Ministry of Defence Mr. Markus Grübel.

Mr. Markus Grübel and his accompanying delegation were welcomed by MG Vitalijus Vaikšnoras, the Commandant of Baltic Defence College, as well as several BALTDEFCOL’s Management Group members including COL Axel Pfaffenroth, College’s Chief of Staff / Deputy Commandant, and CDR Jörg Lehmann, the German SNR at the College.

During his visit to the Baltic Defence College, Parliamentary State Secretary was given a detailed presentation on BALTDEFCOL’s history, its vision, mission, strategic goals and main lines of effort. Since BALTDEFCOL’s establishment, Germany, among several other participating nations, has provided the College with valuable support, and has become a highly appreciated partner in many aspects.

At the meeting concluding the visit, it was emphasized that BALTDEFCOL’s desire is to continue the fruitful cooperation with German Armed Forces and seek for opportunities of mutual benefit to develop the partnership even further.
