Visit by the French Centre des Hautes Etudes Militaires

On 12th of March, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) had the honour to host the French Centre des Hautes Etudes Militaires (CHEM). The delegation was welcomed by the Deputy Commandant/Chief of Staff, COL Jean Trudel and College Sergeant Major, SGM Peeter Einbaum.

The visit started with an office call between Brigadier General Frédéric Boucher, the Director of CHEM and Major General Andis Dilāns, the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL.

 

Afterwards, the delegation was given an overview of the Higher Command Studies Course at BALTDEFCOL. The guests participated in the panel discussion "Regional security: stocktaking of military cooperation" with the students of the Higher Command Studies Course 2018. The discussion was moderated by the Senior Mentor of BALTDEFCOL, CDRE (ret) Hans Helseth.

During the visit, the guests also had an opportunity to familiarise themselves with the teaching and learning facilities of the BALTDEFCOL, including the library, course and lecture rooms.
