Visit by the Royal College of Defence Studies

On 17th June students and faculty members of the Royal College of Defence Studies (RCDS) of the United Kingdom visited the Baltic Defence College.

The visitors were welcomed by the BALTDEFCOL Commandant Major General Vitalijus Vaikšnoras. The programme at the College continued with briefing presented by the Deputy Commandant and Chief of Staff, Colonel Axel Pfaffenroth on the structure of the College, education and research.

Afterwards the delegation had the opportunity to discuss topics of regional security led by Dean, Dr Augustine Meaher.

RCDS is the senior college of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom. It provides the capstone to the strategic education of those officers of the Armed Forces and equivalent civil servants who have the potential to reach the highest ranks and who must therefore understand and be comfortable working at the strategic level in a cross-government and international environment.
