Visit by the U.S. Ambassador to Estonia, H.E. Mr James D. Melville, Jr.
On Tuesday, 1st of March, 2016, the U.S. Ambassador to Estonia H.E. Mr James D. Melville, Jr and the U.S. Defence Attaché Lieutenant Colonel David Wiseman visited the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).
The Commandant of the college and selected members of our management group were delighted to introduce the Ambassador to the college’s vision, its mission, strategic goals and lines of effort, and to engage in a conversation on further cooperation between the college and the United States of America. Several different countries have provided BALTDEFCOL with valuable support, the U.S. among others and therefore, the country has become a highly appreciated partner in many respects. Thanks to joint effort we have already accomplished a lot and it is our wish to continue with this fruitful cooperation in the future.
‘It is a real honor and pleasure to visit the Baltic Defence College – a unique and important institution in the framework of our Transatlantic Alliance. I have deep appreciation for the work and the leadership of the Commandant, the faculty and the students of BALTDEFCOL. Keep up the great work,’ wrote the Ambassador in his entry to our guest book.
The meeting was followed by a lecture which culminated in an active round of questions and answers where the audience used the opportunity to engage the distinguished speaker in open discussion.
