Visit by the UK Defence Academy

On 10th June students and faculty members of the Advanced Command and Staff Course (ACSC) of the Defence Academy of the United Kingdom visited BALTDEFCOL, led by the Director, Air Commodore Alistair J. Byford.

The visitors were welcomed by BALTDEFCOL’s Deputy Commandant and Chief of Staff, Colonel Axel Pfaffenroth and British Navy Commander Gary Brooks, student and class leader of the Higher Command Studies Course.

Colonel Pfaffenroth provided the group who was accompanied by the British Defence Attaché to the Baltic States, Lieutenant Colonel Nick T. Sawyer, with an overview briefing on BALTDEFCOL’s mission and educational programmes.

Afterwards the students had the opportunity to discuss topics of regional security with BALTDEFCOL faculty members and to meet with PfP-students and Baltic representatives during lunch.
