Visit from Estonian School of Diplomacy

On 13 March, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted students and colleagues from the Estonian School of Diplomacy (ESD). The ESD delegation, consisting of students form several nations Kenya, Georgia, Armenia and Uganda, received a brief overview of BALTDEFCOL's mission and vision, tasks, and role as a Professional Military Education institution.

BALTDEFCOL faculty members AMB Shota Gvineria and Mr. George Spencer Terry provided an overview of the current security environment and discussed their perception by ESD students who are studying such themes within educational programs. LTC Karl Salum provided insights on the implications that war in Ukraine has thus far had for militaries and societies.

The BALTDEFCOL has established a good working relationship with ESD through the exchange of lecturers and experts and student visits. The visit underlines the importance of collaboration and cooperation between security and diplomacy.

ESD is a not-for-profit educational institution that provides high-quality training to talented people from Estonia and around the world in the fields of diplomatic practice, European integration, international relations, and public administration.
