On 12th September, a delegation of the French Institute for Higher National Defence Studies (IHEDN) paid a visit to the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL).
The guests were welcomed by the Dean, COL (ret) Dr hab. Zdzislaw Sliwa and Lecturer on Defence and Cyber Studies, AMB Shota Gvineria. BALTDEFCOL delegation was accompanied by COL Mart Vendla, the Deputy Chief of Staff of the Estonian Defence Forces.
The guests received an overview of BALTDEFCOL's history, organisation, and main activities, followed by a special lecture provided by AMB Shota Gvineria on Cyber Defense Considerations and the Estonian Approach. The visitors were very interested in regional security and the French involvement in the contribution to deterrence. They recognised and appreciated the value of the education provided by the College and the specific character of the BALTDEFCOL as a Professional Military Education institution.
