Today, Lieutenant General Bertrand Toujouse, Commander of French Forces Europe/Commander French LANDCOM visited Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL). He was welcomed by the Commandant of the Estonian Military Academy (EMA), Brigadier General Vahur Karus and Dean of the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL), Col (ret) Dr (hab) Zdzisław Śliwa.
Lieutenant General Bertrand Toujouse was briefed and given a comprehensive overview of the BALTDEFCOLS's activities and its significant role in the Baltic region's security landscape. The brief included the Combined Joint Staff Exercise JOINT RESOLVE.
During his visit, he gave a lecture on "Operational Planning” to BALTDEFCOL´s Joint Command General Staff Course (JCGSC) 2023-2024 and Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) 2024 and EMA´s students. The lecture was followed by a very active Q&A session, mainly concentrating on the ongoing war in Ukraine as well as the role of China in the current geopolitical world.
