Defence Attache of Norway for the three Baltic States, Colonel Svein Ruderaas, visited the BALTDEFCOL on February 28th. He had a meeting with Brigadier General Gundars Abols, Commandant of the College, Mr. Tomas Jermalavicius, Dean of the BALTDEFCOL, and Colonel Kristian Ekroll, Head of Operations Department and Senior National Representative of Norway at the College. During the meeting, various aspects of sustaining Norway's involvement in the BALTDEFCOL in the future were discussed. Views were exchanged on possible ways of cooperation between the Baltic Defence College and various Norwegian authorities. As a former Head of Operations Department, Colonel Ruderaas was also able to share his perspective on the future development of the BALTDEFCOL and advise College's leadership on new opportunities of international cooperation. It was agreed to continue close contacts and work towards arranging Commandant's visit to Norway in autumn 2008.
