On Monday, 12th of November 2007 BALTDEFCOL was honored by the visit of the President of the Republic of Estonia, H.E. Mr Toomas Hendrik Ilves. He was welcomed at the entrance of the College by the Management Group. Afterwards the Commandant, Brigadier General Algis Vaičeliūnas introduced the facilities of the Baltic Defence College to the President and had a tour around the building with him and his delegation. A short meeting at the Commandant's Office followed, where Commandant gave an overview of the BALTDEFCOL development in 1998-2005 and 2005-2007, including its value to the three Baltic states and future challenges.
