Visit to NATO enhanced Forward Presence Battlegroup Latvia

On 19th of May, the Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) 2018 members from Georgia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia, Slovenia and Latvia visited the NATO enhanced Forward Presence (eFP) multinational Battle Group based in Adazi, Latvia.

The HCSC was well received at the Brigade headquarters, where they were briefied on the tasks and the role of the eFP battle group. During a tour on eFP premises the delegation was shown the barracks, accommodation and welfare facilities, as well as the military training area, the shooting range and the objects being built for eFP's next exercises. They also met the brigade commander who provided an update on the current developments and cooperation with host nation.   

Afterwards, the HCSC visited the Polish contingent and got acquainted with their tasks, structure and equipment. They were granted a possibility to be a tank crew member including driving a tank terrain.


At the end of the visit, the delegation met the members of the Slovenian contingent, who presented their mission and tasks, as well as the equipment they have at their disposal. All the interlocutors expressed their satisfaction of being able to participate in the eFP and convey excellent relations between the nations and the local population.
