Visiting Senior Mentor for the Higher Command Studies Course 2017

Professor Marybeth P. Ulrich is one of the most senior and regular guest speakers of the Baltic Defence College (BALDTEFCOL). She has visited Estonia and the other Baltic states, for the first time, in 1994 while working on her dissertation thesis, later defended at the University of Illinois.

Since 2005, she is a Visiting Senior Mentor of the Higher Command Studies Course (HCSC) focusing on strategy formulation. Professor Ulrich helped to establish HCSC and in 2006 she conducted on the Job Training for BALTDEFCOL staff based on education process at the US War Army College what was important factor for accreditation of HCSC by NATO ACT.

She supported planning and development of the ‘Strategy Formulation’ module in close cooperation with BALTDEFCOL faculty, which has been significant contribution to achieve desired quality of education. Her personal academic commitment has significantly contributed to the development of senior military officers and government officials within HCSC. Students has always recognized her professionalism and dedication toward their professional development.

Professor Ulrich all the time delivered quality education and gave impetus to the students to perform better in their future positions. Being the professor of the US Army War College she is also the “ambassador“ who is promoting Baltic Defence College as quality Professional Military Education institution.
