Working visit by Mr Dirk Dubois, Head of the European Security Defence College

Mr Dirk Dubois, the Head of the European Security Defence College (ESDC) paid a working visit to the College on 18 October 2017. The Commandant Major General Andis Dilāns provided an overview of the BALTDEFCOL organization and education as Professional Military Education organization with the focus on the cooperation with the European Union and integration of EU related topics in the curricula of courses.

   

During the discussion with BALDEFCOL faculty, the future areas of extended cooperation were concerned presenting further options to be exploited for a bilateral benefit. A special attention was paid to the long-lasting support of BALTDEFCOL to ESDC Common Security and Defence Policy (CSDP) High-Level Course.

ESDC was founded in 2005 and is focusing on courses related to the EU CSDP and the EU Common Foreign and Security Policy. It has established a network of 136 members and five Associated Network Partners and last year provided as many as 95 educational activities
