The Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) held its opening staff meeting to mark the beginning of the new academic year (AY) 2024/2025.
As summer ends soon, faculty and staff gathered to discuss and prepare for the upcoming academic activities and goals. This meeting set the tone for the new year, addressing key objectives, welcoming new staff members, and ensuring everyone is aligned on the college's mission to provide advanced military education and training.
The Commandant, Brigadier General Alvydas Šiuparis, addressed the BALTDEFCOL staff.
BALTDEFCOL is a unique organization in this region, and we all make this organization into what it is and what it is supposed to be to meet the expectations of the framework nations. Attitude to our mission and priorities is paramount. We need to work in an orchestrated and coordinated approach.He also highlighted the importance of following BALTDEFCOL's vision and being recognized internationally.
We will continue to be an up-to-date, professional, and modern institution. We will continue building the recognition of our institution in the international arena.
The BALTDEFCOL's AY 2024/2025 will start on 12 August. Before that, the BALTDEFCOL staff will participate in the Staff Development Programme to prepare for the new AY and be ready to welcome students of the Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) and Civil Servants' Course (CSC).
