Baltic Defence College Hosts College of Europe in Natolin Delegation for Sixth Consecutive Year

On 29 April 2025, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) was pleased to host the annual visit from staff and students of the College of Europe in Natolin as part of their study trip to the Baltic Sea Region. This year marked the sixth consecutive visit, reflecting the strong and enduring academic cooperation between the two institutions.

The delegation was welcomed by the Dean of BALTDEFCOL, Dr (hab.) Zdzislaw Sliwa, who provided an overview of the College’s educational mission, its strategic focus, and role in fostering regional security dialogue. Insightful presentations from members of the BALTDEFCOL faculty followed his introduction.

A highlight of the visit was the panel discussion titled "Assessing the Defence Situation from Baltic to Black Sea", featuring Dr Viljar Veebel, Ambassador Shota Gvineria, and Dr Asta Maskaliūnaitė. The panel explored the evolving security landscape and examined critical challenges that connect the Baltic and Black Sea regions in the context of heightened geopolitical tensions.
