From 13–14 August, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) hosted the Final Planning Workshop for the upcoming 7th edition of the Command Senior Enlisted Leaders’ Course (CSELC), scheduled for autumn 2025. The workshop gathered the core team to assess course readiness and coordinate final preparations.
Brigadier General (BG) Alvydas Šiuparis, Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, welcomed the course staff and emphasised the importance of upholding the high standards of CSELC. He expressed enthusiasm for the course and the participation of Senior Enlisted Leaders.
CSELC is tailored for top Non-Commissioned Officers (NCOs) operating at the strategic level alongside General and Flag Officers, particularly within the Baltic Sea Region and beyond. The course brings together participants from NATO and Partner Nations, promoting knowledge exchange through its structured modules.
In his address, College Command Sergeant Major (CSM) and Course Director Alvydas Tamošiūnas highlighted the need to foster a constructive and balanced learning environment. He stressed that delivering a strategic-level course is a key responsibility for the CSELC staff. Senior Enlisted Leaders play a vital role in shaping international military culture, building networks, and strengthening the NCO corps—especially in today’s evolving security landscape.
BALTDEFCOL extends its best wishes to the CSELC leadership and external module coordinators for the busy and challenging days ahead, and looks forward to a successful course delivery in autumn 2025.
