Visit of the Ambassador of Sweden to Estonia, H.E. Ms Charlotte Wrangberg, to the Baltic Defence College

On 9 December, the Baltic Defence College (BALTDEFCOL) was pleased to host the Ambassador of Sweden to Estonia, H.E. Ms Charlotte Wrangberg.

The event offered an excellent opportunity to strengthen professional ties and highlight the importance of collaboration in defence education and regional security.

The visit began with a welcome by the Commandant of BALTDEFCOL, Brigadier General Alvydas Šiuparis. The Commandant shared his appreciation for Sweden's engagement with the BALTDEFCOL and its contributions to the multinational defence education community.

H.E. Ms Wrangberg signed the College’s guestbook, leaving a message to commemorate her visit and to acknowledge the ongoing cooperation between Sweden and BALTDEFCOL.

The agenda included a presentation about the BALTDEFCOL, outlining its mission, role in fostering professional military education, and contributions to defence and security. During the visit, H.E. Ms Wrangberg met with Major Karl Fredrik Stadig, a Swedish student participating in the Joint Command and General Staff Course (JCGSC) 2024-2025. Their discussion focused on the experience of studying at the BALTDEFCOL and the value of international collaboration in defence education.

The visit of H.E. Ms Charlotte Wrangberg highlighted the importance of continued dialogue and cooperation in professional military education. The Baltic Defence College extends its gratitude to the Ambassador for her visit and looks forward to future engagement with Sweden.
